In the region the Zamosc centre is the only multi-profiled specialist centre  for cerebral palsied children. The day care patients come in 70% percent from the country, mostly from the Zamosc and Hrubieszow area. The outpatients come from the whole of the region and from outside it. The Centre provides ambulatory care also to children with other kinds of disabilities, sick children and children injured in accidents. The Zamosc Centre is a pioneer in new solutions in the area of social policy; it promotes an integrated model of rehabilitation-educational-care services both in the day care and ambulatory system which are provided free of charge in one of the poorest areas in the country.
